List of Some of the Accomplishments
of the Knights of Columbus:
Council 12605


- Helped teach religious education classes at the church
- Helped keep the church grounds mowed and cleaned. Also helped mow and keep clean the church cemetery grounds
- Organized hay rides for the church youth
- Presented Father Pupius and Deacon Keene with clergy appreciation certificates
- Did clean-up projects at the homes of widows
- Organized and gave fish fries for the church during Lent
- Consoled the grieving survivors of church members who passed away during the year with memorial plaques and Bibles
- Organized and put on a huge annual hog roast for the church with all of the trimmings
- Gave generous donations to the college scholarship funds at Saint Gregory's and other colleges
- Presented flowers to all of the Mothers on Mothers Day at the church
- Organized and oversaw an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids at the church
- Participated in a Mass honoring the Veterans of our Great Nation and expressed our sincere appreciation for their great sacrifice
- Donated funds for and helped organize the visit of Father DiOrio
- Presented Rosaries to new church members on the occasion of their receiving their first communion
- Served coffee and donuts for the church after most Sunday Masses during the year
- Oversaw vigil watches during Lent
- Made donations to the USS Oklahoma Memorial Fund
- Gave many breakfasts at the church
- Sold Christmas cards at the church
- Partipated in the annual Tootsie Roll Drive with the proceeds going to a home for the mentally challenged
- Honored Priests with birthday and appreciation dinners
- Organized and put on several Knights' Picnics and family dinners
- Trimmed trees at the church after the ice storm in December
- Gave the church a $2,000.00 defibulator, to possibly help save the life of someone who might have a heart attack while they were in the church
